Laundry rooms
The use of laundry rooms is included to your rent, when you are living in an apartment of Soihtu. Some of them can be used without booking them – you can use any machine available – and some of them you can book on our booking system.
See below the location and reservation system for the laundry room of your own housing location.
Kortepohja Student Village
The laundry room is located on the bottom floor of building B. You can enter the laundry room with either a separate Village Key or your contactless key card. There are four washing machines and two dryers in the laundry room. You can take any machine available into use without booking them beforehand.
There are two laundry rooms in staircase C of building F. You can enter the building through the front door of staircase B with either a separate Village Key or your contactless key card. After that, go right to the corridor. There are five washing machines in both laundry rooms. In one laundry room, there are two dryers, and in the other, there is one dryer. In addition, there is a separate drying room nearby. You can take any machine available into use without booking them beforehand.
You can enter building H through the door near Rentukka, on the side of the boulevard, with either a separate Village Key or your contactless key card. There are four washing machines and two dryers in the laundry room, as well as a drying room next to it. You can take any machine available into use without booking them beforehand.
Laundry turns in building L have to be booked beforehand in the booking system. The laundry room is located on the bottom floor of building L. You can enter the building through the door opposite of building K with either a separate Village Key or your contactless key card. There are four washing machines, two dryers and one laundry spinner in the laundry room, as well as a drying room close by. It is possible to wash carpets on the floor of this laundry room.
Laundry turns in building N have to be booked beforehand in the booking system. The laundry room is located on the bottom floor of building N in the same corridor as the sauna. You can enter the laundry room with your magnetic key card. There are two washing machines and one dryer on the laundry room.
Laundry turns in building P have to be booked beforehand in the booking system. You’ll find the laundry room on the bottom floor of building P when you walk straight forward from the lift. You can enter the laundry room with your magnetic key card. There is one washing machine and one dryer in the laundry room.
Laundry turns in building R have to be booked beforehand in the booking system. You can enter the building through the door of staircase B under the pentice with either a separate Village Key or your contactless key card. The laundry room is located on the bottom floor, next to the lift. There are two washing machines, one dryer and one laundry spinner in the laundry room. There is also a separate drying room nearby.
The laundry room is located on the bottom floor of building T. You can enter the building under the parking deck with either a separate Village Key or your contactless key card. There are two washing machines and try dryers in the laundry room, as well as a drying room nearby. You can take any machine available into use without booking them beforehand.
Soihtu Vehkakuja
Laundry turns in Soihtu Vehkakuja have to be booked beforehand in the booking system. The laundry rooms are located on the bottom floor of each building of Vehkakuja 2. You can enter them with your magnetic key card. Washing machine 1 in building B is a fragrance-free washing machine. There are two washing machines and two dryers in each laundry room, as well as a separate drying room nearby.
Soihtu Korttelikylä
The laundry room is located on the ground floor of building D. You can enter the laundry room with your own key card. You can take any machine available into use without booking them beforehand. Note! Some of the machines in the laundry room need to be booked beforehand.
Instructions for laundry rooms
- Tenants can use the laundry rooms daily between 8 – 22. The use of the laundry rooms is free of charge.
- Some of the laundry machines need to be booked beforehand in the booking system for Soihtu tenants on varaus.soihtu.fi. Kindly check via booking system which machines need a pre-booking.
- The dryers are meant only for those who have booked a laundry turn.
- Remember to get your laundry out of the washing machine / dryer immediately when the programme has ended – the next user has the right to remove the laundry from the machine if necessary.
- Please take care of cleanliness during your turn – take your rubbish into a trash bin.
- Empty the lint filter after each use.
- It is forbidden to dye clothes in laundry room washing machines.
- Soihtu is not responsible for lost items left in public areas.

Happy news for the Kortepohja district: Subway signs a lease in the new U-building of Soihtu
Soihtu has signed a lease with Subcom Oy on the retail space located on the ground floor of the U-building, which is currently under construction. Subcom is Finland's largest Subway franchise company. A Subway restaurant will opened by Subcom in the U-building when the new building is completed in spring 2025.
