The highest authority in the Student Village is the Tenants' Council. There are nine members in the council, of which eight are selected in elections every year and of which one member is chosen from within the JYY Council of Representatives. The general manager of the Student village operates as a secretary for the Tenants' Council. Two members of the staff and the Secretary of the Kortepohja Student village have the right to attend and speak in the meetings.

The elected members for year 2012 are Panu Mäkinen, Konsta Kalenius, Heli Hämäläinen, Matti Mantila, Antti Yli-Tainio, Ville Qvist (chairman), Zachris Haaparinne ja Timo Ahonen. The member chosen by the Council of Representatives is Antti Väisänen.
