All members of the Student Union of the University of Jyväskylä, JYY,  have a right to apply for an apartment from the Kortepohja Student village. The right to live in the Student village lasts until the end of the academic year of graduation, providing that the tenant is still a member of JYY. After graduation the tenancy right lasts for the agreed period. The right to live in the Student village also lasts during maximum one year break in the studies.
