The notice of ending the tenancy must be given in writing at least one full calendar month before the wanted termination of the lease. It is possible to end the tenancy in the end of a month only. If you wish to pay your last rent for example in April, you need to deliver the notice of ending the tenancy in writing to the JYY Accommodation office at latest on the last day of March. This principle applies of course around the year. In family apartments the signature of both tenants is needed to end the tenancy.

The notice of ending the tenancy is valid only when the form has been returned SIGNED to the Accommodation office. The form needs to be returned within the instructed time of ending the tenancy. The form cannot be sent via the net, but it is possible to fill and print it and then return it to the Accommodation office personally, via mail or faxed within the instructed time of ending the tenancy. Remember to sing the form!
