RENT INCREASE beginning from March
The Student Union board of representatives has confirmed the Student Village budget for the year 2012. On 1.3.2012 rents will be increased by 17 cents / m2 / month. The increase is due to maintenance costs. New rent slips will be mailed to all tenants.

STUDENT VILLAGE FURNITURE TO STORAGES
When moving away from the Student Village you must clear your room/flat of any furniture. Borrowed furniture must be taken into the storages downstairs at P and D-buildings. Broken furniture must be taken away or to a dumpster. If furniture has been left behind and the Village must take care of moving it, the tenant who has moved away will be charged. Furniture can stay in the apartment only by a permission granted by the Accommodation office. The office will grant a permission if the next tenant will be an exchange student. Furnitured rooms of exchange students (furniture fee in connection with rent) needn't be emptied of any furniture.


LAUNDRY ROOM PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED
Nowadays you can only get into the laundry rooms with a magnetic stripe card. Coin machines have been removed from use. Thus all washing machines are free of charge. Tenants can collect the magnetic stripe card from the Accommodation office. Tenants of the M-S -buildings must exchange their key cards, because the current ones do not give access to the laundry rooms.


CONSTRUCTION SITE NEWS
Two new apartment buildings will be built in the Kortepohja Student village. The new 5-storey apartment buildings will have single-room and shared apartments as well as apartments for families. According to the current plans, the new building J should be ready by spring 2012 and the new building H by autumn 2012. It is not yet possible to apply for the apartment in the new buildings. More details will be available later.


SAUNA TURNS
There are general sauna turns for men and women every day in the Student village. The general sauna turns are free of charge.


STORAGE SPACE                    
Into new G-building has been build eight small storage space which you can rent now when necessary. Size of those storages is 8 square metres and rent is 40€/month + 80€ pledge payment. Pledge will be returned to tenant account after tenant has empty the storage space, return keys back to the accommondation office and if all rents have check to completed. More info and your own storage space you can ask from accommondation office.
